Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer has hailed Donald Trump's election win saying he could not be “more excited” for the United States. 

“A bigger win, I had this pegged at 306 to 312 electoral votes, I think we might even exceed that,” Mr Spicer said.

“This is going to be a big, big night for Donald Trump, for the Republican ticket, and I couldn’t be more excited for the country.”
